The town of Özdere

Özdere is a town with approx. 13,500 inhabitants. The town is very lively in the summer time, and there are numerous small and cosy shops with everything you need during your stay – and maybe more. There are also many hairdressers where a fancy haircut may help you cool off a little. Additionally, the town has many large supermarkets. Özdere is centrally located with only approx. 60 km to Izmir which is Turkey’s third largest city with just above 4 mill. people. And approx. 35 km to Kusadasi which is a town with many interesting shops and a beautiful sea front with many restaurants and quays for luxury liners.

Turkey is a very large country, actually larger than France and England together, or approx. 19 times larger than Denmark. Turkey has approx. 76 mill. inhabitants, or approx. 14 times more than Denmark. Turkey is bordered by 8 countries, i.e. Bulgaria to the northwest, Greece to the west, Georgia to the northeast, and Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran to the east, and Iraq and Syria to the southeast. Turkey is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea and Cyprus to the south, the Aegean Sea and the Aegean Islands to the west and the Black Sea to the north. Turkey is special due to its position on the map, and with a mixture of eastern and western culture and traditions. This contributes to making Turkey something out of the ordinary and a very popular destination.
